There are seventeen farms on the estate, all of which are let out to tenants. The land varies from light loam on the south of the estate, to London clay in the north of the estate. As a result the south of the estate lends it’s to arable farming whilst the northern portion of the estate supports dairy and livestock enterprises. With such a diversity of soil types the farming practices vary hugely, this means that a large variety of produce is produced. The estate farms including dairy, beef, poultry (incl turkeys), brewery, sheep and pigs sell their produce both locally and nationally.
